About the Opportunity

Axis Technical Services is looking for a full-time Project Assistant based in Burnaby, BC.

Reporting to Senior Management, you will play a pivotal role in supporting project operations and administration across various locations.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for coordinating daily activities, ensuring efficient project execution, and maintaining communication with all stakeholders.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling field technicians
  • Ensuring availability of site documentation and materials
  • Communicating daily with site personnel, general contractors, and suppliers
  • Following up on job progress and maintaining site reports
  • Solving problems as they arise
  • Managing procurement, receiving, and organization of project materials
  • Tracking and booking technical and safety training for field technicians
  • Arranging travel and accommodations for out-of-town crews
  • Updating maintenance records for company service vehicles
  • Handling urgent material deliveries as needed

About You

To qualify, you will need a high school diploma, fluency in English and a valid driver's license, with 1+ years in office administration ideally in the construction industry or trades.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated professional acumen in managing communications, including answering phone calls and emails effectively
  • Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Readiness to assume responsibilities beyond routine tasks to support company objectives
  • Proven knowledge of Adobe, Bluebeam, SiteMax or similar platforms (asset)
